The animated forms walk the line of the personal and private focusing on what I am obsessing with at that moment. On the surface, the small ink works on paper appear to be whimsical, and emotionally light, but the colorful, quirky, fluid and organic shapes reveal forms that sometimes forget the serious subject matter. The drawings are complex in color and mood as they reveal themselves slowly while reflecting my ongoing interest in the process of the ink attaching to the paper. The past transforms the present work into an autobiographical study of these bits and pieces of memory inter-mingled with reality bubbles of the present.
